What I find amazing is that we lived racism in our own flesh until very recently, even in my own family. My mum's eldest brother emigrated to France, to work for tire manufacturer Michelin in Clermont-Ferrand. He married a French woman (who is herself 50% of Portuguese descent) and two of my aunt's friends stopped being their friend because she married some kind of "African subhuman". Even if my uncle has blue eyes and fair skin (you know my mum's family is mostly Celtiberian)

Of course, to their eyes, my uncle was a honest worker and emigrated to France with legal papers.

I've lived with problems because of immigration and I can't deny that I don't like the islamic religion at all (like I don't like the Catholic religion).

Finally, in Spain, our "Blacks" have always been the gipsies
