But rather than giving up, I simply recalibrate to another calendar. I knew I wasn't going to make Julian New Year, so as usual I fell back to Chinese New Year, but it came a little early (26. Jan.) and found my desk still a morass. Fortunately there are always more chances--Tibetan (25. Feb. in 2009), Sikh (14. Mar.), Assyrian (1. Apr.), Thai (13. Apr.), and so forth.
