You have to add this:

- Hacer la pelota. This is an expression we use all the time. Depending on the voice tone, it can be nice (like when a mother says that to a son) or very bitchy.

How would you use this nicely? I've only heard it used to mean "kiss up to someone".

For instance, when you kiss your mum to get sweets. She would say "Para de hacerme la pelota, pillín..."
(that's what my mum used to tell me!)
