Down and up

Yesterday, I'll confess, I was just a little put out by the outage at 365 Main that took down LJ. I had three entries I'd been writing in my head and hoped to commit to bits during my afternoon shift at the InfoDesk. Of course, they're still in my head, but I won't have a block of free(ish) time like that again today.

But nothing can go wrong today. Why? The cute bear spoke more than two words to me! I walked right up to him and asked, "Where do you get your buns?" As it happens, Chiu Quon--hey, that's my favourite bakery! So now I know (1) like 90% of bears, he's not standoffish, he's just terribly shy; and (2) despite the white, he seems a lot younger than I would've guessed. Like closer to 40 than to 60. (I'm sure you're relieved to find out, Big Guy, that pace Paul, the chances of me running off and marrying him just dropped a bit!)

I know. I'm torn between wanting to know who you are, because we've obviously got some shared interests that would make for good conversation, and wanting to hold on to the fun of trying to guess which fellow commuter you might be.
