I am considering going with Verizon since they have better coverage of the parts of the country I tend to travel in than Cingular does. I hope I can find a plan with no roaming and no long distance, but it doesn't look like they have a prepay plan with these options. grumble.

Say, what's the deal with Cingular when you dial a number and then you get a voice ordering you to dial it again? Is that roaming or something? I found it highly irritating in Virginia and it did that somewhere else recently too. double grrr.

Maybe I should drop out of the cell phone universe, but they are useful for traveling.
