The first time I stepped foot in E-ton many years ago, my initial observation, only partly in jest, was that even the El stop there was nicer than most of Hyde Park.

I have noticed, however, that the roads there absolutely suck. Given all those pricy condos, upscale retail and McMansions, you would think they had the tax base to fix the dang pavement.
