'Tis a pity, doncha know!

Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] listens2kids for today's serving of off-colour ethnic jokes. My favourite:
Two Irishmen were sitting at a pub having beer and watching the brothel across the street.

They saw a Baptist minister walk into the brothel, and one of them said, "Aye, 'tis a shame to see a man of the cloth goin' bad."

Then they saw a rabbi enter the brothel, and the other Irishman said, "Aye, 'tis a shame to see that the Jews are fallin' victim to temptation as well."

Then they see a catholic priest enter the brothel, and one of the Irishmen said, "What a terrible pity...one of the girls must be dying."
This, in a nutshell, is how my ancestral religion has managed to persist as an institution up into the present day.

Talisker? I've made the pilgrimage to the distillery.

My favorite concept I learned in youth was the idea of "freshening" a drink.

My grandmother has the most adorable habit: when her glass is empty, she puts it on top of her head. During her best moments, she jiggles her head slightly to make the ice tinkle.

And how WAS the Talisker distillery? YOWZA!!

I love your grandmother. I worship your grandmother. I want to be your grandmother.

Talisker Distellery? The most spiritual place I have ever visited.
