http://status.livejournal.com (is actually hosted elsewhere, so is nearly always up when LJ itself is being cranky)

When last I looked, it said something about knowing the site would be slow and/or unresponsive, and they're "working on it." I can get it to work, but only through brute force of half a dozen page load attempts per page to find the couple of seconds when the site can actually talk to my computer.
