Ate in Arcadia Eggo's!

his_regard for putting together yesterday's outing to see Remy Bumppo's production of Arcadia. (I realise I still owe you for the ticket; I was short of cash last night. Treat you to dinner?) I'd made some faint noises about catching it over Thanksgiving Break, but my vestigial organisational abilities never asserted themselves.
It was well worth it. Bothspookyfruit and an old college friend who's returned to do theatre said it was better than the recent Goodman production. I have to admit, I was a little sceptical at first, but the actors from the first scene grew on me and even better ones emerged in the second. Lovely set (the long table was much coveted), good costumes (it takes a very self-confident man to wear Regency trousers!), and excellent sound design (always very important for Stoppard).
Many thanks toprilicla and lhn for joining us and especially to welcomerain and spookyfruit for giving me a ride home in HER CAR. (My ulterior motive was to give y'all back your drill, but of course that fell totally out of my head during the spectacular trip home on LSD.)
I'm so pleasantly sleepy now, all I want to do is lie down and nap until the snow covers us all.
