(no subject)
Well, due to the ballad I posted a while ago, this journal has now been "outed" to several friends. One told me, "If I had known you had a web journal, I would've read it obsessively."
This is exactly what I was afraid of.
I'm simply not interesting enough to support such devotion. It'll lead to me either taking myself too seriously or putting up whatever trivial thoughts I have just to fill the space--or, worst, both.
On that note, here's an update to my musings on AC: I spent all yesterday hiding out in it like a superwimp and, today, I was surprised how uncomfortable I was in 80-degree weather with 70% humidity, even wearing a loose linen shirt. Apparently, my edge gets blunted like *snap* THAT. Maybe I should overcompensate by going camping for a week in Little Egypt or something.
On a completely different note, ever curious about something in a foreign language but you didn't dare ask for help deciphering it because it was from a naughty source (like a porn site) and you feared being found out? Send it to me. I promise absolute discretion (though I may not be able to resist remarking on a truly inspired turn of phrase in a public forum, like this one). Or just post it here anonymously.
But before anyone else asks, zlatý hoši is Czech for "golden boys". (You're welcome, Mr X.)
