Early b-day prezzies!

[Psst! monshu doesn't know that I stopped off at Bookworks on my way back from Market Days, so nobody tell him, 'kay?]

1. Pratchett, Terry & Gaiman, Neil. Good omens Yeah, believe it or not I never got around to reading this when everyone else was. I'll probably save it for October when I feel the prick of black magic in the air.
2. Trevor, William. The story of Lucy Gault. For Irish lit month. I'm hoping it'll be something of a companion piece to Felicia's journey.
3. Urrea, Luis Alberto. The hummingbird's daughter. Who can resist a 500-page family saga? Not me, even when the writer isn't a local luminary.
4. Reed, Ishmael. Mumbo jumbo. Can't say as I know a thing about him--which says more about me than about Mr Reed, I'm sure. I feel like this patches a gap in my cultural knowledge while also being a challenging and--one hopes--intriguing metafiction.
5. Carey, Peter. The tax inspector. I never meant to become a Peter Carey completist, but it looks like I'm heading down that road all the same. He's a prolific man, but I think he does best when he hews close to his homeland, so I'm quite looking forward to this one.
6. Delaney, Samuel. Neveryóna. Another huge gap in my cultural knowledge. I was hoping to find Dhalgren, but I've got a much better chance of actually making it through this one.
