Yeah. The thing that leaps out for me is the "anyone who won't accept that is a jerk whose behaviour should be stigmatised by society." This gray area is truly tricky and I doubt it's possible to create a culture in which no one's boundaries are ever trespassed by accident. But our current culture(s) doesn't/don't sanction people who deliberately take advantage of this gray area and of people not wanting to be That Guy.
