High concept

Now this is a cool idea: a Chicago food truck serving Iraqi cuisine staffed by Iraq War vets. Too bad it doesn't seem to have gained traction. The year-and-a-half old article said that after the art exhibition where it was unveiled, Enemy Kitchen would actually go into service on Chicago's streets. But I haven't been able to find anything confirming that it's still in operation. Another victim of the City's foot-dragging in updating the ordinance?
I found the references while searching for information on Conflict Kitchen, a take-out place in Pittsburgh that got some buzz on Facebook recently for its commitment to serving "the food of our enemies". (Not their words, but those used by various media outlets.) Right now it's offering Cuban cuisine, which seems to me like a bit of a cop-out. No matter; they're probably gearing for a switchover to Syrian even as I type this.
