Maybe the alu they didn't have was elephant yam, not potato.

Did you read the menu at Abhiruchi? (I'm curious to know whether it has AP food, which I've been missing since Sizzle India closed. I can't find a menu on the web, although there seems to have a restaurant of that name in 2005.
