Huh. Blind baking should have prevented the sogginess, but perhaps the gingersnaps absorbed too much liquid, even with drying out. I should send you the Vegetarian Epicure's pumpkin pie recipe, which has chunks of crystallized ginger in it, and rum. I have the feeling we will be all needing the beta carotene this winter. Gwyn
